my slow down zone

Hiya

Welcome to my very first on the internet website. It's still a work in progress for sure and currently has very little content but I'm hopeful over winter break I'll be able to add more. My name is sophia and I'm a lover of the dark albeit I haven't always been. I hope to make this place interesting but maybe a little spooky.

I'm a lover of whales, tofu, and liminal spaces. I hope to add more photos to this site soon but I don't quite have ones that suit the vibe. I lowkey dislike pulling my phone out to take pictures but in retrospect there's so many occasions in which I wish I had. I'm hopeful that I can make some art soon to suit this site.

I think the reason I have created this site is mostly because I want to relearn how to code in HTML and CSS and maybe even endeavor to learn some Javascript. I've taken classes on Python and Java but those skills have long since rusted away as that is not currently my focus in my education. I'm studying material science which could involve more programming if I go down that route but I'm still conflicted.

Another reason I've created this site is because of my growing hatred with this capitalistic society in which we live in today. I am strongly unhappy with the mainstream digital spaces. I'm worried that the more billion and trillion dollar companies that thrive in this economy are putting an end to humanity. Anyway that's enough on that topic although it is something I would like to one day write about more.

I feel so late to the neocities party but it's been amazing to see all the creativity and incredible creations of this community. I hope one day to become an active participant.
